Network Technician 

Job Description

As a network technician you are responsible for supporting our clients with their computers and network systems, which includes all hardware, operating systems, backup systems, Internet connections, remote access, data communication, security controls, and any other related network infrastructure requirements.

You are also responsible for supporting, maintaining and managing our internal systems.

Everyday is an exciting challenge as a Network Technician. People and business depend on their computer systems, and they need our help. You are willing and able to meet the demands of scheduled jobs as well as the support and sometimes crisis calls that arise throughout the day. Your role is crucial in supporting these systems. You are a key TEAM player, helping to manage and maintain these computer and network systems so that users can focus on their jobs knowing that you are looking after their systems, and that you are there for them when they need help.

You are a fast learner, continually learning and keeping abreast of changes, updates and new technologies in these areas and its integration into the business environment.

You are providing services related to consulting, needs analysis, planning and design, system changes, installations and integrations, troubleshooting, system maintenance, training and ongoing support services.  In essence, to Learn, Consult, Install and Support!

Responsibilities

Must have 4-5 years of computer and network support experience, including installations, maintenance, managing and troubleshooting. Preference is given to individuals with a technology degree or technical certifications such as Microsoft MCSE and Novell CNE. 

Must have knowledge and working experience with computer systems, networks, Internet connections, firewalls, security controls, remote communications, backup systems and contingency planning.

Must have good command of the English language, both oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills, and present yourself as a professional.

You must be a loyal TEAM player, dynamic and energetic, with a positive and passionate attitude towards technology, helping others, and for individual and TEAM success.

Vehicle is required for onsite services at client sites.

Compensation
 

Base Salary, Performance Pay, Onsite Travel Allowance, and Benefits ($36k-$48k+ per year)
 

Location

Work office is located in Port Coquitlam and is servicing the greater Vancouver and lower mainland areas.
