Account Manager 

Primary Objectives

Nurture and manage existing clients, generate new business, new projects and new clients, manage service jobs and projects, facilitate and support the marketing and sales process, and assist in achieving revenue targets.

Job Description

Everyday is an exciting challenge as an Account Manager, a person who is focused on Business Systems and Information Technology. People and business depend on their computer systems, and they need our help. Your role is crucial in communicating with these people, determining their needs, and informing them about our services and the solutions we offer. You are a key TEAM player helping to build and manage client relationships.

You are a professional who is knowledgeable in the field of computer systems and information technology for business. You are communicator - a person who can identify with the needs of the client, and who is very aware and savvy of the technologies.

You are a fast learner, continually learning and understanding new technologies, as well as changes and trends with existing technologies and its integration into the business environment.  

This is 'relationship selling' and uses a consultative and nurturing approach to selling and managing.  

This is a 'relationship' business that is focused on helping people with their computer systems and technology requirements so that they can focus better on their business and what they do best.

This is an in-office position, working from your own desk, complete with all the tools and amenities you need to make your day comfortable and enjoyable.

Requirements

Must have 2-3 years of business-to-business sales experience dealing with computer systems and information technology, or related customer service work. We are looking for people who have previous experience working on the telephone (headsets provided), have a good telephone manner, are computer literate and technically savvy, and present themselves as a professional.

Must have knowledge and working experience with computer systems, networks, the Internet, backup and contingency planning, security controls, accounting principles, accounting systems (specifically the Accpac family of products), office applications, database systems, and business websites.  

Must have good command of the English language, with good oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, and present yourself as a professional.

Must have good organizational and management skills, be goal-oriented, and able to meet and exceed performance targets. Must be able to work with a moderate level of supervision, and able to deliver individual and business revenue goals.

Must be able to develop new business through prospecting, lead generation and cold calls, generate new accounts, and manage existing clients with regular follow-up calls.

You must be a loyal TEAM player, who is dynamic, energetic and positive, and passionate towards technology, enjoys helping others, and strives for TEAM success.  

You must be confident in yourself, willing to go the extra mile, and a person that makes things happen.

A business or technology degree would be a definite asset.

Vehicle is NOT required as this is an inside office position.

Compensation
Base Salary, Performance Pay, Profit Sharing, and Benefits ($30-50k+ per year)

Location
Work office is located in Port Coquitlam. Our primary service area is Greater Vancouver and the lower mainland. With remote communication technologies, we can support the rest of the world.
