The Orion POS System is a flexible, customizable, full-featured, scalable, easy to use point-of-sale system that integrates with the Sage Accpac ERP accounting system.
The Orion POS System is designed to function in just about any retail organization handling whole goods inventory. It is suitable for a small single-store retail business to an organization with multiple retail locations. It is easy to add new tills, new retail locations, or additional modules to expand functionality, making it a very scalable solution that can grow with your business.
The Orion POS System can handle multiple transaction types, such as sales, returns, paid in/out, on-account, layaways, gift cards (Givex and One-Card), coupons, discounts, sales promotions; and multiple pay types on a single transaction.
Remote locations can be connected to operate either in 'real-time' through Terminal Services or Citrix, or 'polled' periodically through the Internet.
The Orion POS System supports a wide range of point-of-sale equipment, such as Barcode Scanners, Slip Printers, Customer Pole Displays, Cash Drawers, Touch Screen Monitors, Scales, or whatever is necessary in your business.
"Touch Screen" Support - The Orion POS includes a fully programmable button menu system integrated into the POS. This means that the usability of the touch screen aspect of the POS can be greatly enhanced, making the Orion Point of Sale System suitable for use in businesses where high speed data entry via touch screen is an asset (i.e. Fast Food Restaurants). The POS system can also be operated using the keyboard, with or without a mouse, or without a keyboard or mouse using only the touch-screen.
Technology - The Orion POS utilizes UNC and/or IP based database referencing to bring the speed, reliability, affordability and versatility of Internet protocol-based technologies to the point-of-sale. Retailers who embrace IP-enabled Point of Sale will gain the greatest market advantage due to faster transaction processing times, "always-on" capability, and lower cost of support. Orion PS also supports both "thin" and "fat" client terminals, and integration with Web Services for such things as high speed credit card clearing.
